The Devil's Triad

The members of the trio

Marie Leroux is the Protoframe of the Wisp line; Lyon Allard the Protoframe of the Harrow line; Roathe is the centre of a dark past tied to Uriel. Together they carry the name Devil’s Triad. La Cathédrale in the Sanctum Anatomica and the expanded KIM conversations turn them from mission icons into people.

Descendia

The Dark Refractory’s second road is Descendia. Where Perita ascends into the Operator’s Tau war memories, Descendia takes the Drifter down into the Infernums layered inside Roathe’s mind. Each descent opens fragments of violence, guilt and identity.

NARRATIVE — The Operator went out into a war they had forgotten. The Drifter went down into a hell someone else wanted to forget.

The Devil’s Triad does not confine the Protoframe idea that began in 1999 to a single date. People of the past, Warframe lineages and present-day Void technology intersect in a new way. Uriel’s identity in story and in play opens alongside Roathe’s memories.

A relationship left open

The trio’s full history does not close in one quest. The KIM expansion and repeated Descendia runs offer a fragmentary telling. Rather than sort their intentions into firm boxes of good and evil, it is better to follow the records as they open.

Where Marie and Lyon stand

Marie Leroux’s Wisp line and Lyon Allard’s Harrow line show how familiar Warframe powers can appear in different human pasts. They are not mere scenery inside Roathe’s mind; through KIM conversations, the space of La Cathédrale and their own relationships they are separate people. They approach faith, guilt and duty differently.

Roathe is the trio’s conflicted centre. Descendia presents his past as layers of hell; the violence is not only what he did but part of the identity he built about himself. As the Drifter descends the layers, they come closer to understanding why he keeps reproducing the same punishment than to killing an enemy.

The Uriel connection

The Old Peace rewards and the Descendia content associate the Uriel Warframe with that past. Once again the Protoframe–Warframe bond here is more complicated than a flat “this human later became exactly this armour”. Time, Albrecht’s research and personal memory bring the same line together.

Uriel’s fiery, infernal theme fits Roathe’s Infernums both visually and narratively. But rather than treat every detail of an ability as the literal record of a historical event, it is better to work from the connections the quest confirms.

Why is the trio in the main story?

At first glance the Devil’s Triad can look like a side cast. In fact they carry the two central themes of The Old Peace: how a suppressed past shapes a person, and where responsibility lies when someone else enters that memory. The Drifter’s descent into Roathe’s mind is the dark counterpart of the journey they made into their own feelings in Duviri.

The trio’s story is not one finished biography. As the KIM expansion and current content give new details, their relationships grow. This chapter works only from confirmed events and is built to be updated with new conversations.

What did we learn in this chapter?

The Devil’s Triad joins personal memory to the great history of Tau. The technology that makes those memories accessible is Albrecht’s Dark Refractory; the next chapter explains the limits of the XX99 and Tau connection.
