What Kuva does
Kuva is bound up with the transfer of mind and with the bonds of authority. Dax obedience to any Orokin carrying Kuva also shows the political control of the substance.
The War Within
The Elder Queen wants to seize the Operator's Void-resistant body. By refusing the mental occupation, the Operator breaks both Continuity and the Orokin claim on their own body.
Albrecht's refusal
After his encounter with The Man in the Wall, Albrecht stopped moving into new bodies. The suspicion that the copy might be the one who came back turned immortality into a risk of leakage.
