Lotus / Natah
A struggle over identity, motherhood and will, running from the Sentient Natah to Lotus, guide of the Tenno.
From mission to choice
In the Old War, Natah's task was to turn the Tenno against the Orokin and then destroy the Reservoir. She refused that final order, hid Lua in the Void and put the children into a long sleep. To her Sentient family the decision is treason; to the Tenno it is the reason they exist.
What the three names mean
Natah stands for the Sentient past she was born into, Lotus for the guide and mother she built herself, Margulis for the human being she modelled that role on. These are not three simple costumes worn by one person. Choosing a name at the end of The New War is less about erasing the past than about claiming the right to decide how she presents herself from now on.
Where she stands today
With Ballas defeated, Lotus returns to guiding the Origin System, but she carries the weight of her encounter with The Man in the Wall. Sensing the call from 1999 in The Lotus Eaters, and the road to Tau opening after The Old Peace, keep her divided loyalty — Sentient and Tenno at once — at the centre of what comes next.
